About the event
Since we are all obliged to work from home, we miss out on informal discussions about our legal research. However, these small and informal talks can be so useful, in particular when you are just starting on a research project. Or, even when you are already a bit more experienced, you can get 'stuck' with a 'writer's block'...
Time to change this: let's discuss our research and everything around it over a cup of coffee!
Format: we deliver a bunch of polls/questions to kick start our informal discussion. Possible questions are for example:
- how much experience do you already have as a researcher?
- which methodology do you use?
- how do you cope with a lack of self-confidence?
- what is the first step you take when you start writing a paper?
- which difficulties do you encounter (due to Covid)?
- what are some of your best tips and tricks to perform research?
- how do you deal with a long term deadline?
- what would you say to your younger version who is just starting research?
These questions are very varied, and you may even learn things about yourself as a researcher that you have never considered...
Don't forget your coffee/tea, sit back, relax, and let's small talk legal science!
